We are very blessed to have a diverse group of musicians: performers of  different ages with many different musical experiences and backgrounds.  Our common love of music binds us all together in friendship and music.   Take a moment to check out our photographs and/or click on the slide show below.

Adirondack Voices is governed by a five member Board of Directors. We meet a minimum of twice annually (one time per concert season). Elections for officers are held every 2 years. We keep in regular contact with former and current singers (500+) via regular email updates, web page updates and Facebook.  We work under our recently updated and member approved 2016 Bylaws. All current members are invited to attend scheduled Board meetings.

Corey Cerullo      Biography

Corey Cerullo Adirondack Voices Director

Corey has performed actively as a chorister, soloist (bass/baritone), and composer/arranger in the Adirondack region of New York. He is a member of the Hudson River Chorale, a non-profit choir based out of Hudson Falls, NY, as a Bass Section leader and soloist of Adirondack Voices (before being named artistic director), and as a Bass Section leader and soloist of Adirondack A Cappella; an auditioned vocal group within Adirondack Voices. Most recently he was the featured baritone soloist in the regional premiere of “Letters from Gettysburg” in the spring of 2014. As a freelance musician, Corey has enjoyed success as a vocal soloist, trombonist, guitarist and even a hornist for a local production of “Beauty and the Beast”.

Additionally, Corey is an avid educator. He currently works at Granville Central School, where he is responsible for 7-12th grade choral activities. In addition, his theater credits include directing “Back to the 80s,” “Wizard of Oz”, “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Shrek: The Musical”. Corey also enjoys success as an arranger and composer of various musical mediums, however he specializes in choral and vocal works. His music can be found at J.W. Pepper, sheet music plus, and sheet music direct under the publishing company Cerullo Music LLC.

When not involved in the region’s musical scene, Corey enjoys playing and learning tabletop board games. Whether it’s Monopoly, Settlers of Catan, or Terraforming Mars, he enjoys the camaraderie that a board game can foster with real interactions between players. He hopes that spirit of brotherhood around a table can be applied to other situations in life and tries to emulate it wherever he goes.

Mr. Cerullo has earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from the State University of New York at Fredonia in Music education with a concentration in voice (bass/baritone) and vocal jazz.

Adirondack Voices History                                                               Click on the arrow

Adirondack Voices is the premier community chorus of the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York, serving Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties, under the musical leadership of Mr. Corey Cerullo, Ms. Penny Schiek and our wonderful accompanist, Mrs. Carol Ann Sussdorff.

Our goal at Adirondack Voices is to provide artistic vocal enrichment to singers of all ages and proficiency levels through regular rehearsals and performances. Adirondack Voices provides for musicians within Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties to come together and share in the creation of our most basic art form – singing. We strive to broaden our horizons as musicians, to create a variety of programs to meet the needs of our listeners and to unite members of our community in song.

Adirondack Voices started over 25+ years ago as a group called "Mastersingers" under the director of Mr. Thomas Booth. When Mr. Booth and his family relocated to New Jersey, the members voted to continue on as the community choral group. Mr. Booth took the name "Mastersingers" with him and the Board of Directors at the time then incorporated the "new" group as Adirondack Voices.

Adirondack Voices was incorporated in 1998. We are very pleased to have members of the original group that are still singing with us today. We have grown from an average of 30 singers per performance to an average of 90+ singers per in-person performance. Our members have ranged in age from 14 yrs - 93 yrs: singing and working together to form friendships as they create wonderful memories and music.  A few years ago our board voted to have 2 directors which created more opportunities for our group to grow and expand our repertoire, including our auditioned member “Adirondack A cappella” ensemble.

We are a non-auditioned mixed chorus of high school students, college students and adults who come together once a week for musical enrichment and camaraderie. Our  volunteer musicians take the task of learning, rehearsing and performing a body of music to be presented to a broad-based audience from the tri-county area twice a year. NEW MEMBERS are always welcome!  Would you like more information about being a member or would you like to receive updates about our rehearsals & concerts? CLICK ON THIS LINK > Contact List

Adirondack Voices is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, and, as such, it is a continuous balancing act between income and expenses. We have been blessed to have many generous community and audience members support our group. If you feel so moved, a tax deductible donation is always helpful and greatly appreciated. Donations can be sent to our mailing address.
